As I used Worldpay on the sites I did set up I didn't use an SSL cert as transactions were handled on their servers. I wouldn't hold/collect credit card info on shared hosting.

I know, I´m not planning to store that kind of information. Ill be using paypal or 2checkout. But I wanted to give customers security sense by having a https site.

and your issue with cookies not being avaiable on the SSL domain is due to cookie security (different domain) - this is a limitation of shared SSL.
