Default Image Locations using Front Page

    Hi,

I am using Front Page to design my website, however, for some reason, some of my images don't have the correct location and even when I manually change the location from C/My Documents/Images/Picture to Images/Picture (this is the location on the FTP server) it does not save the change!!!

    HELP!!!

Must admint that I would advise using Notepad over Frontpage. All FrontPage does is screw up your HTML code.

I use FrontPage and consider it better than notepad, even over Dreamweaver. This is just a matter of preference.

I haven't used Frontpage for quite sometime, but from my experience Forntpage works best with Relative URL's as opposed to Absolute URL's.

In addition you should try not to use spaces when naming files to be used by a website as these need to be Encoded to '%20'.

I certainly agree on this point, one of the main things that alot of website fail on, is placing spaces in a file name.

i recommend using underscores for all spaces in file names and directories... i've also seen some web design agencies using + symbols between words... i believe it's all to do with the search engines - also, file names for images should be relevant to the image, and each word seperated by either _ or - or +

i'd also agree with just linking to images relative rather than absolute - or if absolute, might be easier to link through the domain? eg http://rah.rah.rah/mysecretimagestash/rahrah.jpg

i'd also give my vote to Dreamweaver. job done.
