    Default Stock Photos?

Anybody know where to get stock photos from, for cheap?

I used to a member of ultravertex (buy a $4 template from templatemonster.com and get 6 month subscrition), but their images arn't that great, and no way in hell im paying $599 for a photos.com subscrition. Sure £599 isn;t too bad (2 website sales) but when the client wants a leaflet, poster or somthing, you gotta fork out £299 on a bloody image, the client ain;t paying it, you ain't paying it, client goes somewhere else (like India)

Anyway, anybody have any idea where to get some decent photography?

iStockphoto is cheap - you have to hunt for the good ones. http://www.istockphoto.com/. Prices start from $1.

Thats template #1, nobody in their right mind would buy the very first templates, besides our prices are exactly the same as TemplateMonster (see: http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/1.html) - check out the 9000 range such as:

    £34.75 standard, £1133.69 exclusive.

I wouldnt suggest anybody buy exclusive, the standard version usually gets just less than ten purchases.

Photos.com ARE a little more expensive (alot cheap on subscription though), but at least you know that when you buy all the copyright has been taken care of and the photo quality is high.

I've used getty images in the past and their subscription model is quite reasonable.

I don;t mind forking out £599 for photos.com, or getty, its just that I dont know if in the next year Ill use 10 images, or 1000 images.

I think photos.com also operate on maximum 25 images per day download (8400 pa). So really I wouldn't mind if they charged me 10p per photo, hell even 50p, but for now £599 is definalty outta the question.

I looked at istockphoto and dreamstime, ill probably go with them, still $1 per/photo tho

btw Getty Image charge £1400 for a 1 year web only subscription..
