    Default Phpbb Updates

Well i noticed that there were some recent phpbb board updates quite recently that im yet to try.. just wondering if anyone else has installed them yet and if they have fixed any known bugs that occur with using phpbb and PHP5 ( which is what redfox servers use ) such as sig issues and what not.

Still kinda disappointed in the issue with phpbb and php5 as phpbb is the only free boards i know of and i really dont have the cash to fork out for a licensed board type. Plus a few members of my forum are losing interest and what not due to the compatibility bugs which is annoying..

I just wanted to know if anyone else has updated yet and if it went well, fixed any problems, experienced any new ones since updating etc?

p.s. when i say recent updates i mean the ones from october lol.. ive only just noticed them myself

I don't know but the only phpbb forum (a folk and world music one) I use daily has been producing "message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?" every time I try to access it. I'm not sure if that is an upgrade issue or not.

I like phpbb but for my own stuff, I've gone my own way . Almost got the latest set of changes (from asp to php) working to a point I would accept now - good enough to be usable (and most does pass the W3C tests for compliance - 4. transitional I aimed for) but still a couple of niggles and a new desire to print the music on the page http://home.folkinfo.org:8080/forum/forum.php for the song database.

I can update the info on the phpbb board I was aware was having problems. It's not an upgrade issue, the info I have is the site/server/service they use got hacked over the weekend.

Thanks for your reply . I asked on the phpbb support forum and someone informed me that the latest version of phpbb should be compatible with PHP5 now so its all good
