Sorry about that - I have been trying a new PHP implementation on the Red Fox server, but missed the forums with the update.

As you can tell - the speed of the forums is faster.

    Lol.

Forums might be a bit quicker to load but they've always been pretty fast

Actually for some reason i can notice a hell of a difference, as if the alteration was more than a few milliseconds. So great work on that . I take it this upgrade is to aid with the merging?
... I'm not an expert however I really don't think it's supposed to do that ...

    And Today?

    CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

    Fast-PHP implementation removed

This has nothing to do with todays MySQL problem...

Can we have a bit more information please Warren. Simply listing the error doesn't give me much to go on. What was the cause of the problem, how was it fixed and is it likely to occur again?

Fast PHP (FastCGI) is nothing to do with Red Fox Hosting customers, its not on the "shared servers" - it was on the Red Fox UK dedicated server, causing a problem for our forums only.

The MySQL problem was raised due to a glitch in the MySQL software - you can find more information of the error you were seeing in the MySQL bug tracker.

Warren what problems was it causing if you dont mind me asking? because it did seem to improve the speed some what noticably. Although the forums do seem still just as fast with the latest VBulletin on it also .
