Which upgrade version you need depends on what you've already got installed - I expect the installer will check when you upgrade.

Studio MX 2004 or Studio MX - Upgrade to Studio 8 for £299 ex VAT

Both Dreamweaver (any version) and Flash (any version excluding Flash Basic) - Upgrade to Studio 8 for £299 ex VAT

Dreamweaver MX 2004 or earlier version, Dreamweaver UltraDev, Dreamweaver/Fireworks Studio, UltraDev/Fireworks Studio, ColdFusion Studio, JRun Studio (Any Version) - Upgrade to Studio 8 for £529 ex VAT

Flash MX 2004, Flash MX Professional 2004, Flash MX, or earlier version, Flash/FreeHand Studio - Upgrade to Studio 8 for £449 ex VAT

I have already bought the Studio 8 upgrade package so why have you quote me prices?

    Keep your hair on mate!

I copied it off the macromedia website (which you could have looked at yourself).

It shows which products are eligible for upgrading to Studio 8 (which is what you asked).

    Sorry no attack intended

Amazon and most retailers state that you can upgrade from any previous version. Maybe its just when you buy direct from Macromedia?

Looking over a few sites, the upgrade policy is as clear as mud!

If you've got Studio MX 2004 installed, you ought to be OK. If you've only got Flash or Dreamweaver installed, you might not be.
It seems that the only way to find out is to try installing it

Just to let you know I have decided to sell it on Ebay as I can not be bothered with looking for old versions.

I am still looking for Studio MX 2004 though.
