DNN = DotNetNuke![]()
ThanksThe path to enlightenment...
I'm actually working on my own piece of blogging kit after struggling with Umbraco and DNN and communityserver (all of which are absolute pieces of sh*t and don't like medium trust hosting environments).
http://www.cswd.co.uk/ (hosted on RF btw!)
It's a full 3-tier OO architecture and is pretty rock solid so far! It's currently missing:-
- Comments
- A decent admin interface - it's currently enterprise manager
- RSS/syndication
- Pings (although i'm a blogging newbie so I'll have to research these).
- URL rewriting
- Mobile browse/post interface
I'll have these finished within a month or two. If anyone is interested, I'll add a page to the "pages" CMS section with a ZIP in it of the whole site and database regularly.
Hello
Is there anyway in Word Press you can do popups for an image that is smaller on the page, that when clicked loads in a resized winow the same as the image size?
The code I have at the moment is
Thanks<a href="javascript opUp('title.jpg', 'height=225', 'width=320', 'scrollbars=no', 'resizable=yes')"><img src="'title.jpg" border="0" width="140" height="105" alt="Description"/></a>
How far have you got with this, as I am looking for a .Net v2 application and from what I can see it is going to best to write it myself.Originally Posted by cswd
I have looked at DNN / CommunityServer etc. and like the way some of the things are being done but agree that overall they are not very good.
Ive been thinking more and more of blogging too, im thinking of DNN or Blogspot
The problem with DNN is that its too big, I like to be able to rewrite code and quickly make changes to design, which I always find a royal pain in the butt with phpNuke (granted its mainly beacuase I don't know PHP).
Something simple would be nice, I suppose I could always do my owns imple thing, and then add stuff as I go along tho.
I think Im going to try WordPress - it seems to have good reviews![]()
I'm going to lock myself away over XMas and start blogging with my own blogging app after that![]()
Nearly there. I ported it to .Net master pages from the basepage hack I was using before last night. I'll do a very basic release soon (before Christmas).Originally Posted by Sol
It's still not feature complete as I've been distracted by another project for a couple of weeks!
