Placement of FTP folder

Hi

A client has asked for me to set up ftp folders for his staff to send files over 5mb (due to the email size restriction) to each other. I have set up this facility but was wondering where is the best place to place it. It is currently in the wwwroot of the domain. This would seem to be illogical as it interferes with the easy synchronisation of the actual website files.

Is the next level up the most sensible place?

Hello Nigel,
Yes, for non website related file storage, its best to store them in a new root folder, IE:

db
files
logs
wwwroot

...then create an FTP account for the files folders.
