Er, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but........

All the DVD sleeves I have take a single piece of paper printed on one side that slips in behind a transparent cover, wrapping round over the front, spine and back of the case. Looks like about 27cm wide and 18cm tall. I guess you can buy it that size somewhere.

How are you planning to print, and what sort of volume?

I haven't thought about printnig yet I just want to learn more Photoshop

I basically just want to know how the images are done on the front of the sleeves - I understand it's all layers but how to place them like the way they've done it would be great

Ah, I see. Thought you meant something completely different. Sorry, can't help you with that, but you could try the local library for a book on Photoshop?

Its actually quite complex, egting the right images is the main part, youll need them on a white background so you can blend them properly then its just a case of layering, and blending. The circles backgound looks like circle, on a grey background, with emboss or bevel to make them appear 3d. Theres quite a bit of lighting used too.

Could you just do an image with the right proportions (basically scaled correctly) and run it through Nero Cover designer or whatever it is called to check the alignment?

According to the guys who hang around my local ASDA, that is what they do to get the covers spot on
