    Default HSBC Intergration

    Hi All,

i am adding HSBC ePayments to a clients site. I have looked on the forums and have found good stuff to help so far http://forums.redfoxuk.com/showthrea...highlight=hsbc

But am now getting this error when testing the samples in ASP from the HSBC CD provided.

ERROR: Failed to obtain an order hash value. Error details: 80004005 CcCpiCOM.OrderHash - GenerateOrderHash: Call to GenerateHash API failed

Any help would be great, HSBC never seem to get back to me.

    Mark

Do not bother with HSBC they su**, their customer services are in india (which is not too bad) but their telephone support closes at 17:00 (which is not good when your website is open 24-7).

I am not affiliated with world pay but they are the dogs ******** apart from being expensive and it just works.

Why don't you get merchant number from a bank and use Protx (they have special offer). This combination will beat Worldpay on the price and more flexible. I recomend this to many clients on the budget.

    Hi Mark,

I am just doing some more work on HSBC integration for another site (it was me who started that other thread on HSBC integration) so this is timely.

Check that you have .ASP installed on your HELM control panel.

Assuming that is on and you have corrected the errors discussed in the other thread then perhaps you can send me your scripts to look at?

HSBC will not (and should not) help with ASP errors if these are due to your server setup but as has been pointed out before the call-centre help is not brilliant!

    Cheers
    Mike

Protx appears to be a cheap solution but it is not. Basically they take the cc details on your behalf and pass to your merchant and charge very little. Therefore the merchant does most of the work and this is where the expense is occurred. WP is different as they take the cc details and process payment and then pass funds onto your merchant bank after a number of days.

    Hi there

Your not referencing your HASH correctly (this is supplied by HSBC) - this should be in a none web readable folder.

I have the HSBC CPI working correctly here:
