Default Hosting a site on a dynamic IP

I would like to run a webservice on a local server. This server gets assigned a dynamic IP number (which changes every few days) by my Internet provider. The actual domain is hosted on the RF servers and I would like to create a subdomain that points to my local server.

I know that I can create an A-record in the DNS management of RF to point to my local server (I tried and this works). Because the dynamic IP changes every few days, I prefer not to update this A-record manually each time it changes.

Does anyone know of tools that can be used to
    1) (preferably) change the A-record at RF as soon as the IP of the server changes
    or
    2) handle this set-up in any other way (e.g. upload the changed IP to a specific location, using an online script for redirecting a subdomain to my local server).

    Thanks.

get an account at dynu.com, and redirect the RF subdomain to the dynu.com subdomain

I have sarafina.redirectme.net pointing to what was my webserver on a dynamic IP (Webserver was appropriated by my dad for driving a fancy LED display)

As the advice states use a Dynamic DNS service and just set the RFH hosted sub-domain as a CNAME to the Dynamic DNS hostname:

    subdomain IN CNAME mydomain.dyndns.org.

Note: that whilst I do use 'subdomain' above this should really be a host name since you are not pointing at nameservers.

In addition due to the way browsers send HTTP headers you will still be able to use the above to host multiple sites using Virtual Hosting.
