Orange ADSL Outage

Im sure most are aware of the major outage Orange have on their hands at the moment, with 50% of its ADSL service down.

The outage was caused by an "unauthorised" change to the network which one of the Alcatel guys performed.

This "unauthorised" change is apparntly caused by an armed gang that raided 1 Brick Lane (a datacenter where most of Oranges LLU termination kit is kept) and stole £6 million worth of live/production Cisco hardware.

Well, it looks like it wasn't an armed gang and also it wasn't Orange that had the kit stolen (Easynet is own by BSkyB)!

1 Brick Lane is EasyNets datacenter - so makes sense that it was their kit.
