Thanks for all the help guys. I think we're going with Protx instead. Seems much simpler to setup. My friend already has a merchant account with HSBC. The only thing he's interested in is getting a system where the user doesn't leave his site, and although PayPal offer this scheme its a pain to set up. Protx on the other hand seems very simple and works out as a similar rate when coupled with his HSBC account.
