Default Can you recommend a decent ASP shopping cart to tailor

I am looking to create a shopping cart that allows users to order blinds. The cost of the blinds depends on the width x height and materials used.

Ultimately I need a cart that can be tailored to allow the user to select colour/material/width/height and cord used before it calculates a price. It also needs to have strong backend integration with various payment portals.

Does anyone know of the best cart around that can be tailored?
I would prefer a cart written in ASP as my PHP skils are poor.
Oh, and cost is not a serious issue.

    TIA

OK I was being too specific.

I have narrowed my search down to 2 shops.

    VP-ASP at http://www.vpasp.com/
    Product Cart at http://www.earlyimpact.com/

    Any recommendations?

Cactushop is quite a popular classic asp shop: http://www.cactushop.com/

    Might be worth checking out.

I had a look but couldnt tell if I could add a products that had optional length/width/colour attributes [ including other user definable attributes] (and have those attributes affect the final price).

If anyone can tell if this is possible in CactuShop, or of a shop that can do this then I would be most appreciative.

I think I will select VP-ASP http://www.vpasp.com/ as my shopping cart. The nice blokes at BigYellowZone will customise it for me for very little dosh.

Anyone have any views/recommendations on it?
Just how easy is it to setup payment gateways? and which is the best one to hook up to?

Payment gateways, are you after a visible or invisible solution. World Pay is great for visible and I would recommend Protx for invisible. Overall I would recommend World Pay.

Some people would say the process needs to be invisible but actually customers love a visible payment process such as World Pay as they understand their credit card details are going directly to World Pay and you are not even involved in this process which is a bonus from a liability prospective and the customer is reassured from the fact their card details will be safe.

I would have said invisible, but from what you have just said their seems to be a good argument for visible. I think I need to ponder this one.

Personally, I'd go with invisible every time if costs justify it! I've set up Protx (VPS Direct) before - both as part of OSCommerce and also for custom payment solutions. It's easy to set up, and appears seamless to the user.

I have another shop set up which goes through paypal. As soon as it earns enough to make it sensible (due to the costs of setting up a merchant account), I will be moving it to Protx. I would say between 5-10% of customers have had problems with Paypal (Worldpay may be better, but when payment is on someone else's site you have no control over it!).

Personally, when buying I would trust a site more with an invisible method - you have far more hoops to jump through to get an internet merchant account compared with a Paypal or similar account.
