    Default ODBC 3.51 Mysql

    Hi

I am having a look at a Asp webiste that uses Mysql database, I have installed the website on my own develoment server Win 2003, but I cannot connect to the database located on the live site servers, I get the following error

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Driverserror '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

After investiagating it would seem that I do not have the ODBC 3.51 for Mysql installed on my server.

Does anyone have a copy, as the Msql site appears do been down at the moment, well I can'r connect to it anyway.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree with the ODBC thing and is it just set up?.

Any help would be most appreciated
    Thanks

Have you added an ODBC DNS entry in Helm for the MySQL database you want to connect to?

Unfortunatly I don't have a copy at work. and by the time I could get the copy at home to you, you will already have it.

You are a star Tanzy, every link I tried on Google earlier was broken for some reason

Thanks both, I may be back, as I am more of a Asp.Net MSSQL person, not had any experience with Asp and MySql

Both ASP.NET and ODBC MySQL drivers are installed on our shared servers.
