    Default Fantastic!!! Saved my life

    Hi everyone,

Just want to let you guys know how it felt after migrating to Redfoxhosting. From 1000 spams a day, now i receive 0 SPAMS a day!!!! Not only does their support system is so responsive but the reliability of my sites is superb so far. Keep it up Redfox.

But i believe nothing is perfect in this world and the not so good part is that forwarded mails are not being moved to the quarantine section instead the mail is just tagged [SPAM]. Really hope that such feature would be implemented in the future where forwarded mails which are spams will be moved to the quarantine folder. Also, a little bit of global settings per each domain for mails would be very usefull... and hopefully it would be implemented in the future.

You change the spam settings via webmail on each email account.

Personally I can't be bothered looking in quarantine and there are always some false positives in the best systems, so I use "tag and pass" and have rules on my email client (Outlook 2003 at present) to manage things efficiently.

Yeah, it would be quite tedious if we had say 100 email accounts and changing the spam settings per each mail account is insane

And yeah, some false positives .. but i tried reporting it and the next day it's no longer moved in quarantine. Have you tried reporting it?

I am not so sure about being able to configure forwarders to work with the quarantine. I keep moaning about it hoping Modus will sort it out.

Im going to make some changes to forwarders in the system so that they are simply aliases of the actual mailbox to which they forward; this will mean that the settings of that mailbox will also apply to the forwarder/alias.

This will only apply to forwarders which forward to a mailbox at the same domain though - which I believe is the problem anyway.

Not recently as it's not been necessary, but I have in the past.
There was a lengthy "fine-tuning" process on email a while back where Sol was involved and I gave my input (hopefully helpful) to that.

    Hi Warren,

The changes would be excellent, although I do forward mail from one domain to another it will be an excellent step forward.

That's where it gets tricky, the provisioning process which adds the configuration to the mail server(s) doesn't have any data other than what it needs to do the job - so its not possible to do this for cross domain forwarding; its additionally difficult when you involve cross domain forwarding when the domains are on different mail servers. In these situations and when the forwarded message is going to somebody@hotmail.com (for example), the forwarder will just behave like it does today.

...this has now been put into place; all existing and future forwarders that forward within the same domain are aliases of the destination mailbox and thus inherit the same settings controlled in webmail.
