Thread: DNN 4.6.2 installation fails

I'm trying to install (the new) DNN 4.6.2 and am getting all kinds of errors I'm not used to (having done plenty of DNN 3.x and 4.x installations already). Like

'Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached.' when trying to fill the database using the installation wizard.

and the system being unable to write to the logfile (in one of the folders of the domain).

Besides this, the URL to MyLittleAdmin doesn't work at the moment:

We are working on a couple of licensing issues with the MyLittleTools software - it should be back online later today.

I am not sure about your DNN error, I have seen it before somewhere...

I'll try to install the good old 4.5.1 and see if this still works.

Ok. 4.5.1 (still) installs without any problem.

Never trust a new version. Tanzy, it looks like you have another challenge ahead of you...

Only had a quick look at this version as I started a new job the other week. Using the Wizard Install I could not get it to install on RFH. However, switching it to install via the old method in the web.config file. (There is a setting for Install Wizard that you need to set to false). It installed no problem with the installation then. However, that was with version 4.6 not looked at 4.6.2 yet. I will try to have a look at it as soon as I can

MyLittleAdmin and MyLittleBackup are now back online.

Can you point me to a resource that explains the install procedure without the wizard? Im going to try 4.6.2 shortly.
