    Default RSS feeds

say you have a web site with an RSS feed, and you accidently put an item into the feed that you really don't want on the feed - can you clear subscribers feeds next time they check for new content by adding something to the XML file???

In my experience, nope. Every RSS aggregator I've used caches quite liberally. Certainly if you delete something, it's not going to delete it on the client side, if it did that would seem very wrong. You may have a better chance if you just change the content as some may check for this and update the entry.
