    Default Front end for mysql

I'm planning to play around with mysql a bit and I've got it working on my pc. I'm not sure yet whether to do everything from the command line or install something (php my admin, maybe) to make it easier. Just wondering what other people are doing - any recommendations? I'm used to working with SQL server so not new to databases, just mysql.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Many people use something like PHPMyAdmin or the installable MySQL GUI tools (recommended as similar alternative to SQL Management Studio for MS SQL).

I wonder if you could connect to mysql installation use ssms as a linked server - i guess mysql would need an oledb provider.
