Default Announcing: SQL Server Reporting Services (NEW Samples)

I am pleased to announce the deployment of SQL Server Reporting Services, a powerful but little known technology - fully integrated in the Helm Control Panel.

The service is available now and included with all Premier hosting plans and will be made available as an extra to other plans in the near future.

    Sample Real Reports
The below sample reports are based on the Microsoft AdventureWorks Sample Database, and show off the power of SQL Server Reporting Services.

    Hi Warren,

Sounds interesting, can you provide a summary on what it does, maybe provide a link to a demo.

    Thanks

Its an online reporting engine, you create interactive reports (like Access) which pull data from a data source (database) - you can then use the reporting engine to provide these reports on your website as an interactive control, downloadable PDF file, Excel spreadsheet etc...

I have added some samples links to the opening post.

thanks for the summary and samples - gives a good idea of its use. Think it may keep the boss happy.

Have you any experience of cystal reports - just wondered how it compares?
