    Default migration issues

    hi everyone,
does anyone have any experience installing dnn 4.8.4 install version? i just followed the sticky and the install went ok (second time round) but when i login as admin things go weird!

if i navigate to sitesettings>Advanced settings> payment settings the page refreshes and the advanced settings panel collapses meaning loads of the settings are not accessible.

also the minimise buttons are missing

i'm gona try 4.8.3 since this worked locally fine but it doeas seem strange.

also do i need to do anything differently because rfh uses .net framework 3.5? i have been using 2.0 loacally and thats been fine, dont really want to have to do a compile from source if poss!

I've not tried 4.8.4 yet. Think the last version I installed for a client was 4.8.2

Unfortunatly, I'm not going to have a chance to look at the latest version till the weekend.

As to RFH using .net 3.5 that will not make any difference.

cheers for the reply, i finnally got 4.8.3 to work, my advice to anyone reading is to stay clear of 4.8.4, seems buggy, or i was just really unlucky with a few corrupt installs?!

If I get the chance at the weekend I will take a look and report back my findings.

right, i just wiped everything, downloaded a fresh copy of dnn 4.8.4, extracted, ftp'ed and installed and ..... SUCCESS! seems like the extract or ftp must have corrupted it last time, but i can report that a new install of dnn 4.8.4 seems good on redfoxhosting! hope that help someone who has similar issues

Cheers for letting me know. Afraid that I did not get a chance to check at the weekend.

Remember that now when you upgrade, you only need to download the upgrade version and copy that over the old one, You do not need to mess around with web config files now on upgrading. The auto upgrade does it for you.
