404 redirect on certain folder

With Redfox hosting is there anyway I can setup a redirect on 404 but only for specific folders? I realise I can do a sitewide one via the control panel but I only want a specific folder to 404.

I'd use URL rewriting to redirect all requests for non-existent files in that directory to a particular page, or to route the request to a script within which a redirect could subsequently be made, if I wanted to have more control over it.

You would need to create a virtual directory but not sure you are going to have the correct options once you have created it.
