    Default Folder Permission? MultiCart

    Hi,

Yesterday I installed iScripts Multicart without a hitch, however today I've been going through some of the features and started adding a product, which included me uploading a product image.

When I submit, it tells me:

Please correct the following errors to continue!
    * Please request admin to change the permission of 'products' folder in the root to 777

I thought this only applied to Linux servers? Is there a setting in Helm to fix this?

I've just moved from a Linux hosting package so forgive me if I'm a bit dim when it comes to Windows servers! lol

Your right, setting folder permission is a linux thing. In windows folder permissions are set on server/domain level. (some one correct me if I am wrong here). As far as I know there should be any reason for having that error. But you obvious have and I don't really know why.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

This happens allot when you use opensource or PHP scripts that are Windows/Linux compatable.. See if you can find where any warning messages are displayed in the code and comment it out..

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, I've had to do exactly what you said and go through the entire code to remove the permission warnings throughout the site, which seem to have fixed the problem.
