Default Switch domain names in Helm

Is it possible to switch the domain name of a hosted domain to another domain name in Helm?

I'm running a website as a hosted domain and now I would like to use another domain name for this site and remove the original one, without having to reconfigure the site (i.e. upload all files, configure the database etc.).

    Thanks.

AFAIK you can't do this using Helm but Warren may be able to do it for you.

I wanted to do this some time ago with a domain and Warren said it was not possible to do it then - he did copy over all the data for me, but I had to do the helm settings needed.

An Alais might achieve what you want if just want the website to appear under the new name.

Unfortunately, the old domain has to be moved away, so an alias is not an option.

The primary domain doesn't have to be active in order for the aliases to work.

If do want to change the domain name the best way is to create the new domain and request that we move over the files/databases from the old one so that you can delete it without having to worry about data migration. I don't think any/many control panels support the changing of a domain name once setup because of all the places on the servers that domain name is referenced.
