Arrgh Drupal Ubercart + imagecache images not showing up!

With Drupal 6, Ubercart, CCK, CCK Image and Imagecache and all other required modules as detailed, I add a product and upload a photo for it. It uploads the photo to my FTP, but imagecache does not do its thing to the photo (such as resize it and plonk it in the imagecache folder).

I do however get a thumbnail generated in the thumbs folder.

When you view the product it cant find the image which was supposed to be created by imagecache.

Tried:
mod_rewrite - Unable to set - Requires Apache
chmod 777 - Requires a Linux Server / Apache

Drupal Settings
Clean URLs enabled - Check
Status Page Image config - Check
Try smaller Imges - Check - no change
Try renaming the temp folder + image folder removing slashes - Check - No Change


Since the upload button works, and a thumbnail is created we can confirm that both drupal and Image GD (PHP image processor) are working and have access to folders.

I am not asking you to fix drupal, or imagecache as this is beyond your remit - but does anyone have any ideas? Anyone else on Red Fox had this problem? I cant believe its an issue with the server....it must be drupal, ubercart or imagecache.
