Spot on Thanks, I've now managed to connect using SQL server management studio.

As I said I'm new to all this so I'm still very much learning and experimenting.

I have a data base already scripted in my website in a folder called app.data. on my local drive which works fine.

Do I now just add a new database to the server and then attach mine to that or is there another way I need to upload everything?

Also if I keep the same folder name etc does everything just work or will I need to alter my script in any way?

    Thanks in advance.

What I think I did was:
    1. Create database in HELM
    2. Added db users in HELM to match those in DB. (if available)
    3. uploaded and restored the database using MyLittleBackup.

Having done that there should be no difference to using the database on your PC and that at RedFox apart from the connection string. In effect you are just using a different server.

    Success!!!,
Finally got my DB loaded up & in place. Just need a few tweaks on the site scripting and everything will hopefully be ok.

A big thank you for all the information.
