It seems that all mail servers are under heavy load following their software updates as all mail and content is being indexed to support the new search features in webmail; hopefully this will happen over the weekend to restore normality before the week starts.

It's not that bad surely, hers are permanently off if the paparazzi photographers are to be believed.

Are the mail servers experiencing issues this morning?

Ok, this is driving me spare. I have a client that will normally let anything slide due to our good relationship (they've worked with me for nearly ten years with) wanting to move due to the emails.

I can't rely on the mail servers with the recent yoyoing. How can i route the mail elsewhere - google mail or something? I need to either find new work around or i lose this client.

I find Gmail/Google Apps Standard Edition is very reliable:

    Thanks mark.

Well, three hours of tinkering and I think I have goggle running one of my domains mail. I seem to have killed the domain from responding to http://domainname.com along the way - http://www.domainname.com is still fine.

Oh, the three hours included lots of tinkering with googles bits and bobs. so, the move took prob 1 hour tops - and I am not a network guy either.

Now, it is the challenge of moving a customer who is not in a good mood.
