Maybe there's cases where Helm could overwrite a new password set via SmarterMail with the original one from the Helm database?
[Edit: I've just tested this on another host and, if you change a mailbox password in SmarterMail and then do anything to the mailbox in Helm which involves saving, the password is indeed re-set to the original one from Helm.]
