Default RUBIDIUM slow or down on regular basis?

One of my customers complaints of receiving "site down" messages (daily) through a system that checks the uptime of his site on RUBIDIUM. Does anyone else experience outages or extreme slowness of this server? What is the best way to tackle this?

Could it be that his site is running in a .NET environment (i.e. DNN) that has to restart the services every time a session has ended, which takes too long for the uptime check...?

    Default NEON and MAGNESIUM offline?

Was there any unannounced maintenance planned today? It looks like database servers NEON as well as MAGNESIUM are unreachable at this moment... Maybe some performance issues are being fixed?

There are currently no service affecting issues - if you are having any trouble please open a support ticket.

Hi Warren, i opened a support ticket over the weekend but no response yet.

Magnesium performance has been horrendously slow recently with many users complaining - as usual problems are intermittent though.

I'm hoping the monitoring you set up on it last time this happened is confirming the issues to you?

I see similar issues with MAGNESIUM as well. Last weekend it was totally unavailable for some time and most of the time it seems to be under heavy load. I'm not sure how this is monitored and whether these servers are actually under too much load or if this just happens during peak hours / if this is just my perception? But when customers start to complain, I have to take action.

Some sites I already moved to PREMIER servers, but not all customers are willing to pay for the extra costs (actually, my reselling plan is based on the prices of "normal" hosting not PREMIER and I want to offer them good quality/speed for a good price, which was the concept from the beginning). Server speed becomes more important even for the Google score of the website.

Warren, are there any plans to reduce load on some of these database servers?

None of our servers are overloaded, they are all equally balanced and are based on hardware to support the expected load; therefore it could be another website/database is solely causing the performance problems. The problems with MAGNESIUM, are they limited to a particular database system (MySQL or MS SQL Server)?

Our monitoring system has several thousand sensors keeping an eye on all aspects of the servers and network but the best kind of monitoring is with real websites with real traffic - this is why sometimes things like performance issues just don't show on the reports.
