Default How to do Domain transfers away from RFH

    Hi all

I need to transfer 2 domains away from RFH urgently.

Can anyone tell me the procedure for doing this as their doesnt seem to be anything in the my.redfoxhosting section on the main RFH website or anything in Helm.

    TIA

You normally do them by a "pull" process, unless they're locked.
To some extent it depends on which TLD and registrar it is, but you probably need to start with the new registration agent.

(unless you're just talking about moving the files to another hosting service, which is just DNS admin)

    Cheers for the info...

The TLD is .co.uk and I have been given an IPS Tag (EXTEND).

When I moved domains to RFH from 1and1, I initiated the transfer from my 1and1 account using the RFH IPS tag (ENOM).
So if I want to move a domain away from RFH I would need to enter an IPS tag again from my RFH account?

    hurmph!

Still no reply to the support ticket I raised 2 days ago, to what I was hoping would be a simple job to do.
Customer is really hacked off that I can't transfer the domains for them.

    Is anyone there?

For a .uk domain, the normal procedure is to access the domain via control panel for its existing registrar account (ENOM?) and within their settings you should be able to "transfer the domain away" by changing the IPS tag to EXTEND. You then login to the control panel for the new ISP (EXTEND) and find an option to import the domain in. As long as the domain's IPS tag now matches theirs it should automatically then appear within their account.

ABNET is correct, with .UK domains we need to "retag" them to the new registrars' IPS TAG - we do this upon request via ticket so I'll handle your ticket now Alastair.
