    Default EV certificate

    Hi

I have a clinet that's insisting on an EV (Extended Validation) certificate from Thawte. There is a note on the Thawte site that says
"Note: Thawte SSL Web Server Certificate with EV is a chained SSL certificate and your web server must support certificate chaining"
and when I click for more info...

"Unfortunately the following Webserver Software platforms don't support Certificate chaining in that you can't install two seperate files(your issued Certificate and the Intermediate Certificate) during the installation, so the Intermediate Certificate cannot be installed and browsers will not recognise the SGC SuperCert as trusted."
    1. 4D WebSTAR 4.x
    2. 4D Dimensions 2003.3
    3. Infinite InterChange
    4. Infinite WebMail
    5. WN SSL Web Page Server
    6. PowerSchool Student Information system
    7. Netscreen SSL-VPN appliance

So I thought I'd better just double check that RFH servers do support certificate chaining before they spend a fortune on an expensive cert.

    Thanks

    Jane

    Hello Jane,
Yes, EV certificates are supported on our servers - the process for requesting and installing them is exactly the same as usual (at our end of things anyway).

    Best Regards,
